 Workplace Wellness

A core part of building inclusivity in an organization is giving employees the skills to take care of their minds and bodies.

Mosaic Workplace’s Wellness Trainings are designed by licensed clinicians and researchers and use the most recent research evidence and scholarly work to teach valuable life skills to employees from all different backgrounds. Each workshop provides rationale for the practice or concept, teaches important skills, and guides participants on implementing healthy practices into their daily lives.

MINDFULNESS 101

Participants learn about the basics of mindfulness, about the research and evidence of mindfulness exercises, practice five different kinds of mindfulness exercises, and learn about what different kinds of mindfulness might be most appropriate for different goals.


CONFRONTING IMPOSTER SYNDROME

Topics include learning to to identify what Imposter Syndrome is and where it originates from, highlighting the risk factors of worsening imposter syndrome, exploring the ways to undo internalized imposter syndrome, and naming strategies for teams to support one another.


WORKING FROM HOME

Participants learn to define work-life balance in a remote work environment, understand the mental and emotional challenges of working from home, define what success looks like in remote work and at home, and learn strategies to accomplish those goals and overcome challenges.


WORKING FROM HOME WITH KIDS

Participants learn to define work– life balance in a remote work environment, understand the mental and emotional challenges of working from home with kids, explore the conflicting beliefs of being a “good parent” and a “good employee.” Participants will recognize both outcomes are achievable within a web of balance, and learn strategies to overcome challenges and ensure success while working from home with kids.


WORK LIFE BALANCE IN THE TIME OF COVID

Topics include learning the definitions of work-life balance, understanding that work-life balance is subjective, flexible, and ever-changing, understanding the way that traditional views of gender affect work-life balance, recognizing that work-life balance during Covid-19 is exponentially more challenging, and learning five ways to move towards work-life balance.


COMPANY MENTAL HEALTH

Managers and supervisors learn to understand the ways that stress affects the physical and mental health of employees. Guided by trauma-informed principles to guide employees towards enhanced mental health, participants learn how to enhance employee physical and emotional safety, support peer relationships, build trust and transparency, empower employees, and cultivate a culture that values responsibility and collaboration.


EMPLOYEE MENTAL HEALTH

Participants learn about common emotional, physical, and neurological responses to stress and trauma. They will acquire skills that have been proven to reduce symptoms of stress and trauma, begin to implement two new healthy coping practices into their daily lives, access a free mental health screener and other resources to determine if they are at risk for mental health issues, and be provided with a comprehensive list of mental health resources for continued care.


DEALING WITH DIFFICULT PEOPLE

Participants learn about the different kinds of difficult personality types, learn why people behave in this way, learn how to assess any given interaction to identify the optimal way to respond, and develop skills and tools for engaging with each of the different difficult personality types.


DEVELOPING A GROWTH MINDSET

Participants begin to understand the difference of a growth vs. fixed-oriented mindset, understand the benefits of adopting a growth-oriented mindset personally, interpersonally, and systemically, learn how to reduce feelings of shame when mistakes happen to develop a sustainable growth oriented mindset, and identify applicable action items to help cultivate a growth-oriented mindset at different levels.


NAVIGATING A HEALTHY RELATIONSHIP WITH YOUR BODY

Topics include understanding dieting risks and outcomes on physiological and psychological health, increasing awareness of diet culture and media messages that are harmful to your relationship with food, and your body (and wallet!), learning what health behaviors sustainably improve health, decrease stress, and enhance life satisfaction.

Intuitive Eating: Part 1

This workshop teaches concepts from Evelyn Tribole’s groundbreaking book Intuitive Eating and helps participants recognize the value of intuitive eating. Participants will learn to implement the first 5 principles: reject the diet mentality, honor your hunger, make peace with food, challenge the food police, and discover the satisfaction factor.

Intuitive Eating: Part 2

This workshop continues teaching concepts from Evelyn Tribole’s Intuitive Eating including: feeling your fullness, cope with your emotions with kindness, respect your body, movement, and gentle nutrition
